Our tips for hikes at Lake Garda

Busatte – Tempesta
Spectacular hike over several iron staircases (400 steps) with spectacular views of Lake Garda and Torbole.
Sentiero del Ponale
One of the most beautiful hiking routes in Europe, from Riva to Pregasina: around 7 km along Monte Rocchetta with breathtaking views.
Monte Baldo
The 2,000-metre-high mountain ridge on the eastern shore of Lake Garda is certainly the most popular hiking area at Lake Garda providing fabulous lake views. The summit can also be reached by cable car from Malcesine.
Lake Tenno and Lake Ledro
The two mountain lakes Ledro and Tenno are located in the northwest, above Riva del Garda and Limone. You can reach them by car from the hotel in just a few minutes. Lake Ledro is the larger of the two mountain lakes and was a settlement area as early as the Bronze Age. Here you will find numerous hiking trails that are well-signposted by the local Alpine Club, and you can swim in the lake at your leisure. Lake Tenno is much smaller and feels like a peaceful oasis. It is perfect for swimming and visiting the beautiful medieval village of Canale.
Naranch trail
Hike through chestnut forests to the Maso Naranch mountain hut, where you can enjoy a unique view of Torbole and Lake Garda.
Lake Garda in Trentino has always been a paradise for climbers. Whether you’re an expert or a beginner, you will find the ideal climbing conditions on the rock faces of the Dolomites above Lake Garda and in the climbing centres equipped for this purpose (the best known and newest being Bouldercity located in the village of Pietramurata). At the AktivHotel SantaLucia you will find useful information and practical advice for climbers, maps and tours for via ferrata and free climbing routes.
