And a sustainable holiday in Italy means: we respect nature and demonstrate this through the decisions we have made over the years.
In acknowledgement of our commitment, we received the GSTC certification in 2025, which is the internationally recognised standard for sustainable tourism. It is an award that confirms our concrete commitment to the environment, people and the region – in line with the Garda Trentino holiday region, which is the first destination in Italy to take this path.

Here are our suggestions for enjoying a green stay.
1. Take the train to Rovereto:
If you arrive by train, we will pick you up with our shuttle free of charge and bring you back (free of charge for stays of at least 7 nights).
2. Participate in the car use reduction initiative:
Just leave your car safely in our car park.

For an easy and sustainable way to travel, you can use the Bus & Go minibus shuttle service during your stay. When you download the app, the system suggests the nearest stop, and you can reserve your seat in just one click. The shuttle service is free for our guests who have a guest card.
- When the air conditioning system is in operation, please try to avoid opening the windows for long periods.
- Don’t let the water run unnecessarily.
- If you don’t need clean laundry, you can let us know and take the pressure off the laundry service.
- Let pool towels dry on your balconies so that they can be reused.
- We ask you not to smoke in the common areas of the restaurant and in the rooms.
- Join the local car use reduction project and leave your car in the car park.
- Use reusable water bottles instead of disposable plastic bottles and fill them up for free at our water station.
- Switch off the light before you leave the room.
- Use our recycling bins at the honesty bar and only throw residual waste into the bin in your room.
We provide 5 charging points for electric cars with Type 2 connection for our guests:
- 3 “Tesla Destination Charging” charging stations
- 1 Porsche charging station
- 1 charging station with three-phase power
Due to increased energy costs, charging will be added to your room bill at cost price (approx. 0.45 cents/kWh). The costs for charging are calculated for all vehicle types.
- We have been installing low-energy lamps throughout the hotel since 2010.
- Most of the hot water for our showers and swimming pools is supplied by our solar thermal collectors.
- The electricity we buy comes entirely from renewable sources.
- Our swimming pools are equipped with a variable pump system for minimum energy consumption.
- New, energy-saving thermal power plant
- Insulation of the building to save energy
- Control of energy management through software and optimisation systems
- We collect rainwater for the toilets and for watering the garden and flowers.
- We have installed special reducing valves on the taps, which reduce water consumption by 50%.
- Our pools are equipped with a water treatment system.
- Use of recycled materials (herbal tea glasses in the sauna)
- Promoting waste separation, including in the corridors and rooms
- Glass bottles and biodegradable straws to reduce the use of plastic
- Use of recycled paper in the office
- Avoiding individual packs in the room or at the buffet
- To promote holidays by train, we offer a shuttle service to Rovereto train station (free service for guests staying at least 7 nights).
- We have several charging stations for electric cars (for a fee).
- Our furniture is made from environmentally friendly materials.
- We only clean the rooms and spaces with environmentally friendly products.
- We have decided against the usual individual formats for cosmetic and bath products and have instead provided refill bottles for you.
- We promote sustainable mobility in the region: e-bike rental, bus and boat timetables in our region, and city bikes are available directly at the hotel.
- We have been focusing on energy consumption for years and have only purchased appliances in energy class A+.

For years, our employees have made a donation by paying for the consumption of drinks or food at the hotel (50% of the sales value is charged). At the end of the year, the Rigatti family makes up the difference of 50% and transfers the total amount to a solidarity project run by the Alto Garda and Ledro Missionary Group.
We also buy Fairtrade products wherever possible.
Convenient, practical, fun ... The city bikes that we provide at the hotel for active holidaymakers allow you to move freely around Torbole and the surrounding area without having to use your car during your entire stay. Please book and pay at Reception.
