Three places for indulgence, with lots of flavour
A very popular mountain bike trail leads from our AktivHotel SantaLucia to the Monte Altissimo, which offers a fantastic view of the lake. Here, at 1,200 metres above sea level, you will find our Aktiv Chalet above Lake Garda. Once you reach the top, you’ll have a fabulous view of the lake, as well as the villages of Torbole, Riva del Garda and Arco, the Ledro Valley and even as far as Adamello. Thrill-seekers can then hurtle down trail 601, also known as Val del Diaol, which is particularly popular with downhill fans.
The Aktiv Chalet
A mountain hut by Lake Garda for those who like to be active
The Aktiv Chalet near Monte Baldo is very popular with hikers and mountain bikers – and it’s no wonder when you look at the incredible panorama! Those hiking on foot up Monte Altissimo can leave their car conveniently parked along the road at the foot of the mountain. If you visit our mountain hut at Lake Garda by bike, you start out straight from the hotel. Once you have had a short rest at the top, we recommend a short detour to La Guarda viewpoint, which is just a 10-minute walk from the Aktiv Chalet. Here you can enjoy an indescribable view to the south, even as far as Sirmione.
An enjoyable excursion to the Aktiv Chalet
We at the AktivHotel SantaLucia love mountain biking – and the Garda Trentino region. That’s why we accompany you once a week on guided mountain bike or hiking tours to our Aktiv Chalet. The following services are included in the excursion:
- Guided tour by (e-)bike
- Lunch with cold cuts featuring typical local products, pasta and dessert
- Shuttle service available for those who do not wish to cycle
- Opportunity to hike through the forest and take photos at the panorama point for those who don’t cycle
Fine wines at the wine hotel at Lake Garda
A particularly enjoyable highlight at our wine hotel at Lake Garda is the AktivHotel Cantina – our wine cellar in the hotel. It enchants its visitors with its rustic walls, the old wood, the comfortable armchairs nestled between fine wines and magnum bottles, and the long table with bench seating for larger groups. In this special, cosy ambience, you can perfectly enjoy tasting the high-quality wines from the region. And in our new Aktiv Caveau in Nago – a traditional cantina – we will soon be spoiling you with cheeses, typical products and wines from the region.
